courses to non-native speakers of English who

English as a Second Language (iESL)
Intensive English as a Second Language (iESL)
offers English classes for international students.
The iESL intensive program is for students who
want to improve their English-language skills
for academic, professional or personal reasons.

Business
English
High-intermediate and advanced students. If you
are in business now, or plan to be, this is the
program for you. All over the world, more business
is done in English than in any other language.
You will not only learn the language of business
in English, you will also learn about American
business practices.
Master
of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other
Languages (MATESOL)
The MATESOL degree prepares the candidates for
employment as teachers, program directors, curriculum
consultants, or materials developers. Candidates
for this degree will do course work in second
language acquisition theories, TESOL methods and
materials, language assessment, linguistics, bilingualism,
and multicultural education. Courses are offered
through the Department of English Studies with
other courses offered in the Business Department.
The MATESOL program is designed to meet the needs
of practicing as well as prospective teachers
new to this field.
